I’m just SO BUSY. I’m sure many of you out there can relate. My schedule is so packed it’s not even funny.

We live in a world where there are a gazillion different things competing for our attention. That time to zone out, be alone and actually connect with ourselves is rare.

When we’re not at work, we’re attending to the demands of our social lives. When we are not trying to have a life outside work –  we’re at work – dealing with a constant stream of people and information that walk in and out of our lives.

Yes – we have a higher standard of living, but we’re also time poor.

I’m tired. I’m knackered. I’m in desperate need of a night with at least eight hours sleep. I’m not miserable. I’m happy. I really am. But I really wish there were more hours in the day to fit in all the things I want to fit in.

I moved into my new apartment around two months ago. I like my new place. I really do. But I haven’t been home enough to transform it from a house to a home. This evening – I finally started converting my loft into the treehouse office that I’ve been daydreaming about for years.

It’s still a work in progress, but… it’s coming together nicely. My last houseguest Rebekah Osgood insisted on buying me all the knick-knacks. She also helped me decorate my empty living room wall with all my favourite pictures.

It doesn’t end there. She also got me a super comfortable chair and vacuum seal bento that I’ve been eyeing for a couple of weeks now. There are people who buy you gifts as a gesture – and there are people who get you gifts that melt your heart.

Rebekah’s in the latter category.

Anyways – it’s Friday. I’m tired. I’m sure many of you out there feel the same way. I’ve got blog posts on two amazing and fascinating women that are still in draft. I’ll get around to finishing and publishing them when I have enough energy to do them justice.

For now – I’m going to end with a simple, ‘Have a good weekend.’

Till next time.
